Welcome to Guitar! I'm looking forward to a great 2021-2022 school year. Assignment details and due dates will be posted in Infinite Campus. Also, please check your school email regularly, and keep an eye out for group emails through the Infinite Campus platform. Remind is also a great tool for keeping in touch- just text class code @guitarmilt to 81010 to join.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES

We provide class sets of several method books, including the Hal Leonard Guitar Tab Method (Starting with Book 1) and H.O.T. Hands on Training for First Year Guitar. You are encouraged to get your own copies for home practice. Mr. Cummings can additional recommend additional resources if you want to go further and/or specialize in a particular style of playing.

There are a number of great online resources for self-guided study if you want something to supplement what we are doing in class. And just like anything on the internet, there's some bad info out there as well, so research/ask questions if in doubt. Here is one that students have had a lot of success with over the years. If you follow the "Courses" tab, there is a progression for every skill level: https://www.justinguitar.com/ . For something less structured, there are a number of individual song lessons on the site as well. At the date of this posting, most of the materials on that site remain free, as they have been for years.
